- Tap the cell you want to format to currency. You can also use the green box at the bottom-right of the first cell that was selected to highlight the range of cells you want to format to currency. This will create a box around the cell.
Next, format the cells to currency by using the dollar sign $.
- If you don't have the dollar sign $ available to you in the Home menu, go to the cell format drop down menu.
- Click on 'More Number Formats'.

Once in you open More Number Formats:
- Click on Currency.
- Click on the symbol drop down menu. Scroll until you find the dollar symbol $, and select it.
- Then click OK
