How do I edit my photo, email, language, and time zone?

You can edit the email address used in Canvas to send you notifications. You can also edit your photo.

Computer


  1. Click on your profile picture in the top-left corner to open the Account menu
  2. Click “Settings”
  3. Click on the photo to change the photo. Use a photo that shows your face clearly and reflects the student honor code.
  4. Click "+ Email Address" to add an email.
  5. Click "Edit Settings" to be able to edit the language and time zone.

  1. Select the language you want to use to view Canvas.
  2. Select your time zone. You may need to do a web search to find the name of your time zone. Setting the time zone in Canvas is critical to seeing due dates and times relative to where you live.
  3. Click "Update Settings."

Mobile


You can only change your photo using the Canvas App. Changing your email, language, and time zone can be done using a web browser on a computer or mobile device.

  1. Click on your profile picture in the top-left corner to open the Account menu
  2. Tap on the photo and either take a new photo or select one from your device. Depending on your device's operating system, you may need to give the app permission to access your camera and photos. Use a photo that shows your face clearly and reflects the student honor code.
